Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA) was established as an arm of the Korean Motion Pictures Promotion Corporation (KMPPC) in 1984, with an aim to revive the stagnant film industry and to overcome the limitations of existing film education by offering hands-on training programs. Since then, KAFA has grown influentially while producing the core talents who have led the Korean Film Renaissance for the past 20 years. Over the 23 years of time, KAFA has produced 416 graduates who majored in Film Directing, Cinematography and Animation Directing. Most of them are currently actively involved in the film and animation industry, including over 60 feature film directors. This mini-documentary takes viewers inside the school to see where so many Korean film luminaries got their start.
