Radha marries Raghu and moves into his house in a village in Kerala. As the days go by, Radha finds that Raghu is strangely uninterested in her, as he spends his days drinking and playing cards with his friends. At night, he would return home only to go straight to bed. Baffled by his behavior, Radha starts to feel like a prisoner of the big, old house, whose secrets are slowly revealed to her – the uppermost floor houses a room of worship for the family goddess, who is believed to be malicious towards the female inhabitants of the house, including Raghu’s deceased first wife.
